Welcome to Esrange Space Center – a gateway to space in northern Sweden!

Esrange has been launching rockets and conducting research since 1966. It is owned and operated by the Swedish Space Corporation (SSC).
Here, scientists from all over the world study microgravity, atmospheric science and test reusable rockets. Plus, it’s home to one of the world’s largest civilian satellite ground stations – here's to staying connected!

And the next exciting step for Esrange will be orbital satellite launches – yep, from the Arctic wilderness to Earth orbit.
