I finally got around to making a clay extruder for the studio. It took about a week off and on, and it was well worth the time. This video takes you through most of the major steps. I also spend a little time explaining my design process. I end the video showing my first time using it with a couple of test shapes.
I will be making a Part 2, that shows my final tweaks to the design, like adding a catch to hold up the piston. I will also show a variety of extruder dies and how they work. This is really a fun thing to use, so expect plenty of extruder based projects in the future.
