The lovely and talented Madge Evans (July 1, 1909 - April 26, 1981) was a popular leading lady at MGM in the 1930s (she began her career in silent films as a child actress, then billed as "Baby Madge"). She appeared alongside such notable talents as Marie Dressler, John Barrymore, Jean Harlow, Al Jolson, Clark Gable, James Cagney, Ramon Novarro, Helen Hayes, Robert Montgomery, Robert Young, and Bing Crosby, just to name a few. She retired from the screen in 1938 but made television guest appearances in the 1950s. I always enjoy watching her; she projected warmth and sincerity, and she established great chemistry with her leading men. The song used in the video is "What Is This Thing Called Love?", performed by the Leo Reiman Orchestra and Bubber Miley, recorded in 1930. Enjoy!
