One of the best things about buying a 2nd hand race car, is that you can now have design projects making custom parts for it. Today, I create three bespoke parts using the Carvera desktop CNC mill, which has fulfilled Kickstarter pledges and is available to purchase. The video includes a summary of the improvements made to the final version of the machine, and the design and manufacturing process of the bespoke parts.

This unit was provided free of charge by Carvera, on the condition that when I use it for a project, I highlight the improvements that have been made for the production version. The previous unit I was sent was given away for free. I’ve had it for a couple of months, during which I’ve been lurking in the support Discord. My impression is that customers are happy, and that those who need help receive it in a timely manner. All opinions expressed are my own.

This is expensive compared to a 3D printer, but I’m sure that anyone who buys one will be satisfied. Users are easily able to replicate the results achieved in marketing materials, plus push ahead in making their own creations.
