Check out my 2nd channel, TT Racing: youtube.com/@TTRacingYT
This video marks 7 years of the Teaching Tech YouTube channel. I’m proud of my achievements and contributions to the community, but I’m also very tired. In this video I talk about the reality of being a full time content creator, and discuss my frustrations about misconceptions, toxic comments and the tendency for some people to throw around accusations without any evidence.
Thanks again to my viewers and patrons for all of their support. I wish you a happy holidays and can’t wait to serve the community in 2025. See you all in February!

Check out my 2nd channel, TT Racing: https://www.youtube.com/@TTRacingYT
Bambu Lab’s recent security update blog posts have attracted a lot of negative attention. Some of it is justified, and some is pure fear mongering. Check out my 2nd channel, TT Racing: https://www.youtube.com/@TTRacingYT
I love products that you make yourself as a project with a 3D printer and other tools. In this video, I showcase the Cateran Mk2, an almost entirely 3D printed guitar from Filatone Instruments. Since I’m only a novice musician, I was lucky enough to have my friend Andrew come in and test the guitar properly. In addition to his verbal feedback, I think his big smile says a lot. I highly recommend this project.
The Cateran k2 and all of the hardware was purchased with my own money, apart from the fret wire which was generously donated by Andrew. All opinions expressed are my own.
One additional thing to mention is that nothing is glued here, so you can reprint anything you’re not happy with, or simply change the colour if you desire. I will probably redo the body in another

![Setting up the ultimate home makerspace! - Moving house and custom parts
Moving house is a pain. It’s particularly a pain when you have a vast collection of 3D printers and other manufacturing equipment, it gets a lot harder. In this video I take you through my move, but focus mainly on setting everything up to be the ultimate home makerspace. This includes custom 3D printed and laser cut parts.
Please leave feedback on the new studio and camera angle. The microphone is closer so I think the audio is better. However, I think I need a bit more light on my face and maybe less on the back wall to let the RGB lights stand out more.

Check out my 2nd channel, TT Racing: https://www.youtube.com/@ttracingYT
To get the best out of 3D printing, it helps if you can design your own parts. In this tutorial series, we will learn to use a free 3D CAD program to do just that.
In this episode, I demonstrate how to upload and modify STEP files into Onshape to suit our specific needs. This rugged box model is very well designed, so it is satisfying to tweak it to fit different objects. I’m going to do just that for some delicate electronics.

Some 3D prints are a stress test for both the machine and the owner. Most of them only give some sense of relief when they finally complete. The models in this video, however, give you much more. They are indeed hard to print, but the final results are satisfying enough to make the trouble worthwhile.
Thanks to the designers of these models for their brilliant work. If you pay for one of these models, please do the right thing and respect the licence.
