A Liverpool karate instructor and owner is facing child pornography charges, according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court. As of Tuesday evening, the facility was closed and had a sign on the doors that read, 'Closed until further notice. Students, we will be in contact.'
The complaint, dated Aug. 10, accuses Theron Feidt of using dark web sites to acquire sexually explicit images and videos of children.
The complaint said the investigation into the alleged crimes began on June 9 with a cyber tip reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. The tip claimed that Feidt used a Cash App account to buy access to a dark web site that contained child sex abuse material (CSAM).
