Is it me or are we being bombarded with the “glory” of surgical facelifts as our Lord and Savior to aging troubles? Let me tell you something surgery won't fix: sick neck muscles from poor posture—which are actually a primary CAUSE of face sagging in the first place.
Almost all of us "shrink forward" with tech neck, and when I work on patients wanting a neck lift or jowl lift, the number one culprit I see is an excessively tight sternocleidomastoid (SCM) muscle.
Here's the thing: our neck is supposed to be a superhighway for blood flow, circulation, energy and nutrients traveling up to the face and head. When that highway gets blocked by tight, sick muscles, the face suffers with things like sagging, jowls, loss of lift - not to mention facial bloating, TMJ pain, headaches, chronic congestion and other health problems.
So instead of planning on surgery, what if we planned to help our neck health daily? That way we may not ever feel the need for a surgical facelift at all! Life savings saved! đź’°
