I know another video! *keep em coming right?* Well, this will probably be my last vid for a few weeks till I finish one of my dozen projects I've started. I keep switching around!

~About this video~
Okay, this one has been my baby for months! IDK how I kept it quiet for so long. YT recommended me this song by the beautiful artist, Beth Crowley, and I fell head over heels in love with it (and her music!) The song is just SO MOVING! (And SOOO LONG! Good Lord its over 5 mins! I didn't realize how long it was actually till after I rendered it and watched it, lol! I enjoyed making it so much the length didn't bother me oddly, Ha!)
I saw a large part of it in my head working line for line with HTTYD. Especially that first verse.....each line just kept fitting better and better with Hiccup & Toothless, my mouth just kept getting wider and wider in awe as it went and once it hit 0:56 with "You take me by the hand" THAT DID IT! (Its like she wrote it with Dragons in mind but she didn't)

The plan with this project that I laid out in my head was to have just HTTYD on the first verse, and just HTTYD2 for the second to build on Hiccup's growth in "Who he is", then let loose with em both paralleling for the finale with VOs tying them in in-between. The lyrics were tricky for HTTYD2 but once I switched the relationship to focus on him and his parents everything started falling into place and I almost like it better than the first. It then gave me the idea to use the VO from that deleted scene at 1:53; It took me a full night to find and download the darn thing! (But I think it tied into the second verse very well.)
The ending was the biggest challenge, but I couldn't bare the thought of cutting a single line of this song. So I made it in B/W, purposely with some clips I had already used to kinda create this dream-like sequence with Hiccup remembering the events of Toothless killing Stoick and seeing him as the powerful and dangerous creature he also is. I liked how it came back to the beginning with HTTYD1. I guess it works? You tell me...

Like my Multifandom gift, I worshiped - in editing terms - the magic behind these two vids and tried to figure out how they made them. I did a lot of experimenting with the effects in this, based on ideas from these vids, especially for the text and now I FINALLY figured out how to make them the way I like them in Vegas.
I honestly don't know how to describe how I made parts of this vid. Its one of those rare vids of mine I could never remake no matter how hard I'd try because of the layer and combination of effects used. I worked painstakingly on every little detail and I must admit I'm quite proud with how it turned out . I can't fake modest with this one I'm afraid. I'm sorry, forgive me. Its so rare a vid comes out this close to how I imagined it.
All except the quality that is. YT once again degraded it and I spent 2 days rendering 8 different times trying to get it without glitches. Ya see that flicker on the text at 0:15? Thats a glitch. Ya know I'm a perfectionist when stuff like that makes me re-render me vid 8 times. Grrr!
Anywho, I hope you find this vid worthy and enjoy it as much as I fully did making it! =D

This was my second favorite song from the Mufasa soundtrack (And its the last one Im doing for the record). After the love I received for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEdUmqZmrQc (Until it was tragically marked for preschoolers.) I felt heavily inspired to put this together, in record time too. Only took like a week and been waiting over 2 weeks to publish. Ive been so excited to share it with ya!! 😁 After making these two vids, I am convinced HTTYD could make a great musical, ahehe.
While listening to this song for the first time all I could think was how cute it would be with Hiccstrid during HTTYD 1 when Astrid is trying to uncover what Hiccup is up too..... From there it just divulges into him in denial with these undeniable clips of them in passionate love. These two are so intoxicating, I swear if this gets marked as made for kids too I am gonna scream! There is no way you can convince me the way these two look at each other is for kids under 13 only. NO!
I really need to do more Hiccstrid vids, its been a hot-minute since Ive done a strict Hiccstrid edit. I guess the last one was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTNqZBASpng which was 7 years ago. 😵 BUT I still think https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpIrRy0fNZs counts.
I was afraid I couldnt find some of the Hiccstrid clips since its been awhile since Ive edited or watched the shows, especially from RTTE but how could I doubt my HTTYD knowledge? However, I have seriously lost count how many times these two have hugged and kissed each other, just in RTTE alone.....my gosh its almost scandalous!! 🤣 Lets face it that series was for Hiccstrid fans, lol!

IDK what it is with me and Elsa and these heavy rock songs with female artists but here’s another one to add to my Frozen collection. I know I’m suppose to be finishing up B-day vids but its been a tough week and I needed to vent. Fortunately this one was been in what I call my post-production stage a month now and I’ve slowly been making the final touches so its ready at long last. Yes, I wanted it to be “perfect!” (;
I must point out, this does NOT represent my feelings right now –I am not THIS messed up! I’m fine right now, but I have been having a bad bout with perfectionism lately in my schoolwork which has made CRAZY! There are some days I am just sick of trying to be good and please everybody, of trying so hard to get good grades to make one wrong move that messes everything up! *shakes head in disgust* This song really captures that rather rebellious spirit I seldom show. I needed to let go and for once just not care so much.
I fist heard this song while doing homework and listening to Pandora in the background; I had it tuned out at first because if you listen to the beginning of this song its really heavy metal, at my limit of rock music, but my head popped up when it got the first verse thinking, “Did someone say frozen?” Then on each line just screamed Elsa at me; It was very hard to concentrate on my homework after that...
This project started as a quick vent back in February and I was only going to make up to 1:04 with mild effects but I liked it so much I decided to go ahead and continue with the second verse and then got a surge of creative inspiration for the final verse so now it’s a full length vid! (And I trimmed the song too).
This was a real wild and fun vid to make, despite trying to get everything just right; I got to experiment a lot with various effects, new overlays and was even inspired enough to add text. (Which totally sucks, my text never looks as good as other peoples’. IDK how some of you do it!) This is the first lyrical vid I’ve done with Frozen though so that’s different. *Yay!*
It took 9 LONG hours to render this baby, per render – And I rendered it 5 times. *Crazy I know* But the 9 hour render was for the 60 FPS and I did that twice while the other three were in standard HD which took about 2 hours each. So I spent 24 hours total rendering it all together. *embraces life as an editor*
Oh and I got my old Frozen signature back! Anyone notice? :)

✎This doesnt seem real guys.....It feels like a horrible dream. I wake up in a fog and ask myself, Why are my eyes aching so much? The answer dawns on me: Ive been crying. Why have I been crying? As everything floods into my mind and I remember why.... WHY?? This Corona Curse. I AM SO HURT!! I have literally been GRIEVING since the news was announced, Thursday, March 12, 2020, our school was closing its doors, moving online, and sending everyone home.
This was my Senior Year, now cut short, RUINED, and totally robbed of my time there with everyone. I miss and love them so much! I wasnt ready to say goodbye! I know I must sound odd; but I LOVE college, I LOVE going to my classes, and working late in the lab, and being around my friends/professors. I didnt even want a spring break - I was going to work - and now we got two freakin weeks. I HATE IT! College life is virtually over for me. I was nervous about graduating for this very reason: having to say goodbye and switch life gears in May. But now its HERE, suddenly, a slap to the face, I wasnt ready IDK how to handle it... And graduation? Pfff, who knows now with everything being canceled or postponed. Even if it happens later this year IDK if Ill even be able to graduate working remotely now.... WHY??
Out of the 4 stages of grief, Ive swiftly moved to stage 3 depression, and stumbling blindly towards stage 4, accepts.....and do the next right thing. *sobs* Oh GOD that song is a word for word description of what I am feeling right now - I wanted to edit with it but its so sacred the way it is sung through Anna. I couldnt... But this song surprising fit in a number of ways.
I just pray things go back to normal soon, but even then nothing will ever be the same again. That one line guys: And with the dawn...what comes then? When its clear that everything will NEVER be the same again. Is just on repeat in my head. I cant go back.
I know I am not alone and that there isnt a SOUL on this plant now that isnt being affect in some way by all this. My problems and feelings are nothing compared to people actually sick, or under strict quarantine. My heart goes out to those people and families affected. BUT with all due respect, I cant help but feel what I feel and see that all of this is nothing but overblown, media driven FEAR and panic that NEEDS TO FUCKING SHUT UP!!! I am sorry for the language, but I needed to vent...
And now I do feel better after pouring all my heart out editing this. Its been awhile since Ive made something from pure angst. (yeah, I know, last week...MY how quickly things change?) *sighs*
Remember guys: Gods got this! I believe with all thats left of my broken heart He is going to bring goodness and healing. Maybe, just maybe, it will be better than we had envisioned in the end. Take a deep breath, turn off the news, pray and focus on the only thing that is true and unchanging in this world: The peace and love from Jesus Christ.
