This video shows footage taken between 2021 and 2026. Some time during 2026, the mechanical bell on the northern signal was replaced by a Western Cullen Hayes 0777 electronic bell.
These signals were installed on May 12, 1960 making them 66 years old as of 2026. They are the last surviving GRS Type B gate mechanisms in Australia, although recently it seems work has commenced to upgrade the crossing, meaning they probably won't survive to see 2027.
Type B were the first gate mechanisms to be used in New South Wales and were only provided on the earliest installations between 1958 and 1964, after which GRS Type D mechanisms became standard right until the end of the 1970's.
