This is the Racecourse Road level crossing at Donald, Victoria. It is situated between Maryborough and Ouyen, on the Yelta (Mildura) line. The crossing is located on the Donald Sub Terminal Siding which is used to load grain trains.
The signals are manually activated by key switches located on both sides of the crossing. All three signals have unmarked bases and Westinghouse LED lights (mostly unmarked). The southern signal had a WABCO mechanical bell which was the last working WABCO bell in all of Australia, it was sadly replaced with a Safetran Type 3 electronic bell on the 31st of October 2019. There is still a dead WABCO bell at the Caribbean Rail Market at Scoresby, Victoria.
The train seen in the video is 7938V grain from Ouyen to Ararat, with locomotives XR558 and BL27. The train had stopped at Donald to collect 14 loaded grain hoppers from the Sub Terminal.
