A Pane in the Glass is a level that has a lot of glass to shatter in the name of heroic vandalism. It also has the secret exit of the first episode, though said episodes aren't split up like they are in Dark War or Extreme RoTT. So ill prepared is El Oscuro that his stronghold isn't even fully built. The distinct sections are still parts of one larger-yet-incomplete whole, making it much easier for HUNT to reach the inner sanctum of the cult leader.
One thing to note is that the best way to shoot the barrels that can contain collectibles and other items is with a single shot from the pistol. While it takes longer to do that then firing with the MP40, it ensures that you have no chance of destroying any collectibles that might spawn from them. This is something I should've figured out ages ago, but late is better than never.
