Adaryc is the leader of the Iron Flail, a man driven both by fear of Defiance Bay retaliating against Readceras for the Saints War and by ominous nightmares he's had. Said nightmares are the spitting image of the ones we had that brought us back to Stalwart and that's because he and Lyrin share something in common: they're both Watchers.
How you deal with Adaryc depends on a number of things, starting with how you made it to his tent. Sneaking past his soldiers and avoiding bloodshed is the best way to make a good first impression, presuming you want to talk things through. Using the cannons of the Battery against the camp followed by a full frontal assault is a great way to show you mean business, though it makes negotiating much harder if you decide to try and pivot.
That being said, how things go ultimately depends on the conversation you two have when you meet face-to-face and it's pretty clear that he's got the wrong idea of what's going to happen here and in the surrounding region. There is an impending calamity, but it's one we might be able to better avoid if Lyrin and he work together rather than trade blows. After all, allies for neighbours are far better than enemies, especially when another foe is about to knock in your door... violently.
