The first leg of our 2026 Europe trip was Amsterdam, and after many visits there over the years I was determined to see and experience some new things, while also introducing Molly to my old favorites.

Stayed at Volkshotel in a themed suite with a nice tub overlooking the city. Small room but cool decor and obviously an amazing view. It was a block from a metro station, and a block from an Albert Heijn, so a very convenient location. Other "new to me" experiences were eating at Vegan Junk Food, walking around the Albert Cuyp Market, and getting drinks and snacks in Vondelpark. We also visited Keukenhoff, but that'll be the next video!

As for my old favorites, we got jenevers at Louis Bar (previously In De Olofspoort), Chinese food at New Season, and Rijsttafel at Aneka Rasa. We also saw the full show at Casa Rosso, which now has a one-drink limit at the bar!
