We decided to spend a day walking the Lauterbrunnen valley, known as "The Valley of 72 Waterfalls". I don't know if there were 72 on our walk, though, since it wasn't the rainy season. The walk is a very pleasant 9km, and takes about 3 hours.

The trip started with a gondola ride from Murren to Gimmelwald, and then another gondola down to Stechelberg. On the way down we saw a bunch of paragliders who didn't really seem to know what they were doing - a few of them almost hit the side of the cliffs!

We also were lucky enough to see an Alpine Cattle Descent Parade. From what we were told, the cow with the largest bell and most elaborate floral headdress is the award winning cow who produces the best/most milk.

Finally, we came across a baby cow who licked my hand and then kept following me. The owner finally had to come and take her away. Now I want a pet cow.
