In this lecture, we will introduce the Fourier Transform for spectral analysis of non-periodic signals. We look at the derivation of the Fourier Transform of a non-periodic function, starting from the Fourier Series of a periodic function. In the limit of time period tending to infinity, the periodic function tends to a non-periodic function and the Fourier Series gives way to Fourier Transform. (c) Supreet Singh Bahga
