Gov. Ned Lamont and other state and local officials held a news conference Wednesday afternoon in response to increased U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity in the state.

The conference comes after reports of ICE activity and arrests in Danbury and other Connecticut communities in recent days.

Lamont was joined by U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, U.S. Rep. Jahana Hayes, Danbury Mayor Roberto Alves, Danbury Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour, and representatives from Danbury Unites for Immigrants.
