A big winter storm (Fern) is causing everything to shut down all over the USA and my progress west is going to be blocked by ice and sleet, so I barreled downwards to a spot that will hopefully get no ice at all to hunker down and wait for the storm to literally blow over. So, we take a ride to Lake Charles Louisiana, and explore the historic downtown for no reason, along with the historic abandoned-looking catholic cemetery and Charpentier historic district full of amazing old homes, pop into the few stores open before the storm hits, and find 100 stray cats...
