Johnny 5 is ALIVE… and back in Astoria!
Join us as we kick off the incredible Short Circuit 40th Anniversary weekend in Astoria, Oregon! We reunite with old friends from last year’s Goonies celebration, explore iconic Short Circuit and Goonies filming locations, visit Stephanie’s house from Short Circuit, and head to the historic Liberty Theatre as the weekend officially begins with Johnny 5, Ally Sheedy, Steve Guttenberg, members of the original cast and crew, and fans from around the world.
Along the way we meet up with Faith, sister of our dear friend Adam the Woo, witness the mayor proclaim Johnny 5 Day, rediscover Adam’s signature hidden away inside one of Astoria’s shops, catch up with the Fratelli Jeep, revisit the Goonies bowling alley, explore the incredible vintage market at the Armory, meet Johnny 5 (who doesn’t exactly seem thrilled to meet me!), stop by a nostalgic video rental store and Gizmo’s Arcade, return to the Goondocks and the legendary Goonies House, then witness an unforgettable reunion as Ally Sheedy, Steve Guttenberg and Johnny 5 gather once again on Stephanie’s porch for the first time in 40 years.
Finally, we return to the Goonies House to remember our friend Adam, whose love of Astoria and these movies helped inspire so many adventures.
This is only the beginning of an unforgettable weekend.
