A fight that isn't as difficult as it is kind of RNG-reliant. This thing has only about 54m HP which is absurdly low at this point of the game (Epiphany Murakumo had 1.2b in contrast), but it also has ridiculously high defenses, ridiculously high affinities in every element including VOI, ridiculously high speed, and not so ridiculous but still high evasion, so just hurting this thing is a chore. And unlike the metal slimes you may or may not be familiar with, this thing lacks the sense to just bonk you a little bit before getting the hell out of dodge; it will go through a huge amount of really strong attacks before letting you off the hook. Mainly the triple Godly Wave it uses at the end of its third cycle is basically impossible to tank head-on unless you have someone with high VOI resistance and HP, but the Sword of Light that happens on every cycle can OHKO even HP invested characters without high base HP.
That being said, if you do have someone who can hurt it, it's actually not that difficult to kill it before it gets there. The main reason I was doing so little damage is because I was too stubborn to remove Holy Blessing off Marisa and give it to Rumia; I could've done a lot more damage had I done that. The main problem is if you don't have someone with high defense ignore - the best bet you have is to use your own Sword of Light from the WINNER subclass, but you'd probably need both SIL and some MND debuffs to get damage through still. You *could* try to last through all nine cycles before it runs away; the only real threat is the triple Godly Wave which you could equip for evasion and hope to get lucky. However, it will use World Devouring Despair to reduce everyone's TP to 0 at the end of cycle 6, so if you want to get past the thing that way you have to let someone die before that point, and make sure you have that character's empty slot on the frontline before it runs away at the end of cycle 9, or you'll have a 0 TP frontline and get sent back to Gensokyo automatically, then you have to fight the thing again.
Having said that, you can also abuse the above point to purposely get kicked out and refight this thing over and over. Even if it runs away, you'll still get the Liquid Metal Mind before you get kicked out, so you can actually farm Liquid Metal Mind this way. However, of the two boss fights left to fight (excluding the enhanced versions), the ailment resists is basically totally useless on one of them (so a second Regalia would be better), and not really useful on the other either, so unless you're planning on taking your game all the way to enhanced bosses, it's probably not really worth the effort to farm it, especially if you can't consistently survive the Godly Waves.
