This is the point where the game stops bothering with challenge levels; every boss from here on out (except the 4th sigil boss, which I can technically take on already but has a challenge level of 760) will no longer have a challenge level so you have nothing to gain (or lose) for taking them on at any level. I'll try to keep my average levels a bit below the boss's level, though (with keyword being on try).
Hollow Orochi has something of an action cycle where it'll attack use random single-target attacks for a few turns, buff itself a bit (its world shaking military rule seems to be the same one the players have, so not really that powerful), do a three-hit combo, use another random single-target attack, then use Evil Dragon's Eye Beam, Refresh, World-Shaking Military rule in that order, and switch over to something that's mostly similar pattern except it'll use multi-target spells instead. Also at some HP trigger it'll use some extra moves without breaking its cycle - at 75% it'll summon two heads, and has a chance to resummon them a few turns later if they're dead (but each time it summons, the time it takes for it to resummon increases), and at 40% it'll concentrate and then use Divine Spirit-Burning Hellfire three times in a row. Even with 500 affinity in all three of MYS/SPI/DRK you can expect to take about 200-300k damage, so you really want to have a good tank with high HP and double Regalias to survive it if you don't think you can remove about 25m HP in the space of two turns. The other advantage of having this high DPS is that, if you can limit the number of turns it takes, it's possible to do the whole thing without it ever reaching the multi-target spells part of its cycle, meaning that your attackers are more or less complete safe in dishing out the pain.
