This is a battle I have been waiting for since the start of the game. I knew deep down that they wouldn't leave such a major character out to dry in a minor role, and we'd have at least one battle. And the game did indeed deliver in the postgame!
We face "L" or Lysandre, who survived the events of X and Y. This time, he's not trying to take over the world, and is far more interested in getting to know our abilities. He was also helpful enough in the game to get all of the Zygarde cells, minus one, which we had all along as a Chekovian plot device.
It's worth noting the way that he doesn't wear this Mega Ring, and instead only pulls it out when it's time to activate it. This is a stark contrast to other Mega Evolution users, who wield it predominantly in their outfits in some shape or form.
