"Movin" by KRANE
Curated by: Christian Cabang
Spotify: bit.ly/KRANEMovin
Genre: #futurebass
This is for all you Bay Area people...and there’s no question that incredible talent comes out of the Bay. In the mix of these artists we have KRANE, a producer based out of Oakland, California. Zachary Krane has built a strong fan base within the last four years working in elements of hip-hop and electronic dance music. When I first heard of KRANE, his name read KRNE, excluding the “A”, until about two years ago, he added the “A” and announced it on reddit as his way to “keep things simpler (smiley face)”.
The piano at the start of “Movin’”, gave me a impression that it was either sampled or originally played then processed through plugins and hardware. Nevertheless, the rhythm of the piano possibly shows a Billy Joel, or more accurately, an Elton John influence to the track. Now imagine that mixed with satisfying drops, huge drums, and fat synths. This producer will consistently satisfy your taste buds.
KRANE is also a supporter of the producer community and releases sound packs created by himself and available to the public. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to create such a massive sound, nonetheless, mix in various synths, arpeggios, and strings from live orchestras together all in one cohesively. Producers spend a great deal of time and money on plugins when it comes to processing sounds and building their own original sound and it’s great to hear what KRANE has to offer. Props to you sir. Now let’s add this to collection and keep it “Movin’”.
