In this third-person, action-adventure platformer game for PC and Steam Deck, take on the role of Kila—a Keeper of Time—and embark on missions to return Aion to its original glory using your time-based chrono abilities.
Rewind and manipulate time, fight off the savages, and dash and jump across floating islands. Set in the fantastical world of Aion, your missions in Kila: Hourbound will transport you to a frozen hour, from sweltering sun to starry skies, with savages on the hunt. It is up to you to progress through the lands and take them down, with time as a special source of power you can manipulate.
Each mission features its own trials and unique encounters. Exploration and magical ruins call, but you must be quick, as the limited time to complete your missions is always counting down and an array of rogue bosses need to be taken down.
Rewinding time allows Kila special skills in combat and a solution to the barriers the savages have set up, making her a force to be reckoned with. Paired with swinging and slamming attacks and speed, Kila knows exactly how to serve justice and restore peace.
This project was crafted by 26 graduate students over a 4-month production timeline as part of SMU Guildhall's Team Game Production curriculum—combining the efforts of artists, level designers, programmers and producers to bring a team-formed vision to life.

- Prove your Skills in Platforming: A balance of quick movement and precision is needed as you travel across floating islands and the stone ruins scattered among them. Master these skills alongside combat to face the rogue boss residing in each land.
- Wield your Staff Well: Master your attack in close-up combat and be sure to dodge the fast attacks and magical, ranged explosions the savages send after you. Dashing and quick reactions will be key to surviving and your success as a Keeper of Time.
