Zoey and the Magic Paintbrush is a strategic, line-riding, puzzle game where players can help a magic princess unlock portals by painting lines with their fingers to collect gems. Players can paint green lines to guide Zoey slowly across a level or stop her momentum, and red lines to accelerate her over jumps or across the screen. Gameplay consists of planning one’s strategy, painting lines, then selecting 'Play' to summon Zoey and test one’s solution. Should the solution fall-through, players can select 'Edit,' 'Paint Vials,' or the 'Eraser' button to modify their previous solution and begin again.
The game was developed in a short 7 weeks, starting in September 2017, as part of the Team Game Production 1 class at SMU Guildhall.
