🇰🇵 In this clip, I discuss my experiences visiting and photographing in NORTH KOREA. Watch the FULL video on my channel!
In 2009, I travelled to the world’s most secretive country, posing as a tourist while on assignment for Canada’s national newspaper, the Globe & Mail.
We travelled from the Chinese city of Dandong, crossing the border into North Korea then travelled onto Pyongyang. We travelled around the country visiting tourists sights, visited the subway and watched the famous Arirang Mass Games. All the time, we were hiding our true purpose and I had the assignment of getting newspaper-worth images for my editors!
While I was there, I learnt a lot about photography and making pictures in such extreme circumstances. In this video, I want to share with you the 5 most important things about photography I learnt and share with you how these ideas and mindsets can help you too.
