Lindsay Clancy's actions have been referred to as a "mortal sin" for a second time in her murder trial, this time by forensic psychologist Kirk Heilbrun, who testified Monday.

Defense attorney Kevin Reddington objected to his statement, and Judge William Sullivan then called for a sidebar. Jurors were sent out of the room, and after a brief recess, Reddington made a motion to request for a mistrial.

The prosecution argued that Heilbrun's response was "not intentional," and Heilbrun previously discussed morality and religion with Lindsay Clancy in their interviews.

Sullivan ultimately did not declare a mistrial, and instructed jurors to disregard Heilbrun's testimony, calling it an "absolutely inappropriate area of testimony."
