Commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant in the 16th Battalion THE GRENADIERS Regiment in March 1996, he served in various strategic locations including Pathankot, Punjab, Leh, Drass Batalik Sector in Kargil, and Jaipur. As a leader during the KARGIL War in the BATALIK sector, he exhibited unparalleled bravery and dedication, despite sustaining injuries in combat. His resilience and determination propelled him to become a decorated Paralympian, winning numerous medals at national and international competitions. Notably, he conquered Mount Everest as the first war veteran wearing an artificial limb, leading the ONGC Team to a historic summit.
