Jonny Clark is the National Director of 'Youth With A Mission' in Ireland (YWAM - Ireland) based in Rostrevor, which hosts the Discipleship Teaching School (DTS) programmes. The residential centre is home to tutors, staff and their family, helping to enrich the experience students can have with God, following Christian principles. Students are encouraged and facilitated in having an adventure living and taking the Good News to the Nations. With an openess to learning about new cultures, exploring new ideas and behavioural norms, students can develop a personal culture of flexibility and dependence of God.

Jonny first came to Nothern Ireland in 2004, after a year of living in England. His father, John, had also been involved with YWAM in New Zealand, had felt called to sell up and leave his homeland on a mission to do God's work in the UK. This provided Jonny with a wealth of experiences initially in East Belfast, and then in West Belfast where he saw his parents bring people together from across the community divide.

While in his late teens, Jonny found himself in South Africa following a similar path to his parents but felt most at home in Belfast. Over the following few years, Jonny set up community homes across the dividing walls to help bridge the divide. He helped to set up scholarships for students across the world in areas of conflict, bringing them to Belfast to study on the DTS programmes.

Eight years ago, Jonny, his wife, Jenny, and their children settled in Rostrevor at the Au Cuan Centre, previously the Christian Renewal Centre, to continue developing DTS programmes and providing Christians from around the globe to explore their faith and share the word of God.
