WTHR | Johnson County prosecutor considers charges against teens in gun store burglaries @WTHR13News | Uploaded 1 day ago | Updated 17 hours ago
The Greenwood Police Department arrested four teenagers Saturday after an attempted burglary of a local gun store.
On Saturday, Sept. 14, officers responded to a report of the attempted burglary at the Atkinson Firearms store in the 1200 block of Airport Parkway, near County Line Road and Emerson Avenue.
As a result of their investigation, police arrested two 18-year-olds and two 14-year-olds all four from Indianapolis.
The Johnson County Prosecutor's Office said it will review all of the information for charges as part of the ongoing investigation.
"It's sad for them and their families. It's a really dumb choice to make. They're looking at a penalty of six years in prison, and it's not a good way to start off your life," Johnson County Prosecutor Lance Hamner said.
