***Attention Teachers!*** Our team at the Utah Division of State History have created lesson plans for grades 4 & 5 (but adaptable for older students) that use the primary and secondary sources available at Jarvie Ranch (near Vernal, Utah) to teach about the human history and natural history of this important landmark.
This video discusses the History and Architecture curriculum. The curriculum uses the primary sources, such as artifacts and the written record, to show students how they can learn for themselves about the vibrant history of the area and about the lives of the people who lived at the Ranch.
