After the 1975 John Fogerty solo album, Fogerty wasted no time in recording more material for a new album: Hoodoo Fogerty submitted Hoodoo to Asylum Records, which assigned it a catalogue number, 7E-1081. In 1976, shortly before shipment, however, Fogerty and Asylum's Joe Smith made a joint decision that the album did not merit release. After several unsuccessful attempts to improve the album's quality, Fogerty began a nine-year estrangement from the music industry. He has confirmed in interviews that he instructed Asylum to destroy the master tapes, but bootleg are still around.
I've remastered this bootleg to try to improve on the sonic qualities, but there was little sound above 10K due to tape hiss and the without compression on the console, there was only tape compression on the final two track master, so it is what it is! Also included on this album, were two singles, one by the Blue Ridge Rangers and the 1976 single by John Fogerty that preceded the album.
