There are nights you strike gold and nights you strike out, walking home alone after a long evening of fun. Then, there are the nights you messed up and are kinda insistent that you didn’t, and you’re confident you’re going to be taken back no matter what. Maybe you’ve even had a little anticipatory champagne. In that case, Jimny and Zaia are here for you.
“Hope you got some love for me / You barely got trust for me.” Oh. That’s how it is. At some point, everyone has to back down from a rejection, right? Not according to Zaia. Set to an amped-up Mario Party game menu backing track provided by producer Jimny, he assures his lover he’s gonna get her right and that she shouldn’t try to fight. It’s cocky, especially when he breaks into a loose flow in the second verse about not giving a fuck and not having time for “bad nights,” but by owning his own attitude, he secures the bag and wins his love for a night - presumably; the vibe here is bright and happy and hopeful so I’m gonna guess things went alright.
“Tropical” synths here buoy the vibe, sending Zaia higher among the palm trees as he slips out the hook in a sing-song daze. It’s all repetitive for the purpose of vibe creation and the vibe I’m feeling is that it’s officially spring. This synth pattern feels like slipping off the winter jacket after a flight from Canada to the Virgin Islands for barely three minutes, and what a nice little trip it is.
