I've been digging more reggae-inspired dub techno lately, and this is my attempt at a little dub jam based on a stepper beat and a more minimal approach. I put the basic parts together yesterday, and refined it (I guess) today, and did a few test runs earlier today. Then, after four false starts tonight I got this OK rendition.
It's funny how when you hit record everything goes to hell. I think those amazing jams we remember having when we DIDN'T hit record are probably like the giant fish that got away. We remember the high points. This jam has some good moments, and I have to be happy with that. I'm also overall happy with the sound, if not thrilled with the performance. Would love feedback if anyone is actually reading this :-)
Recorded direct to stereo (Zoom H6), and the only editing was a volume increase and cutting out the no-go takes.
