Welcome to the jam jar cocktail, which harnesses the potential of a nearly-empty jar of jam to create a shockingly elegant cocktail. Here’s the Jam Jar Lemon Drop, courtesy of our editorial director (and cocktail aficionado) @jm_hirsch:
Start with one nearly empty jar lemon curd (1-2 tbs lemon curd remaining). Add:
2 1/2 oz vodka
1/4 to 1/2 oz orange liqueur
1/4 oz lemon juice
Pinch kosher salt
2 scoops ice
Shake vigorously. Add an optional touch of agave or simple syrup to taste.
Strain into a coupe using the lid of the jam jar. Enjoy!
