Jacob won second prize with composition ‘The Tragedy’, in the Concert Music category for Guildhall Young Artists competition 'RELEASE'.
Jacob, from Junior Guildhall says: "With my music, I hope to spark emotions of sadness and personal loss. If it were a movie, perhaps a shocking occurrence takes place in which a character watches their hometown as it is destroyed, or maybe they lose their family and friends in a terrible conflict. I am immensely excited to have my music performed by such an amazing string quartet and I hope you enjoy it!"
The category judge for Concert Music was Judith Weir CBE, Composer and Master of the Queen's Music.
