This is my second take on a 24 episode Christmas calendar. Last time the task was presenting a new vintage computer from the MS-Dos area each time. This time I am going to cover some even older bits of computer history, and these bits play a part even today. We are going to look into the bread-and-butter logic chips, and the theory behind them. Mainly the 74xxx series of TTL gates.
In episode twenty three we look into the rather more interesting world of the microprocessor, as we dive in to the surroundings and what neighbors it is wise to have if you are a 6502 CPU. What is really needed to make this tick.
