Mike Vellner, Matt Eby, Peter Helland and Gus Zuehlke continue the discussion on whether Jesus Christ is on the Throne of David and Satan is bound now or both are still in the future. Matt throws the question back to hermeneutics or how is scripture to be interpreted. What provoked this series of discussions was the action being taken to move the Israeli capital in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Mike Vellner holds the majority view amongst American Evangelicals which claims this move is part of the fulfillment of prophecy. It is obvious to many that the recent bombing of Syria because of the chemical attack by Assad is based on two lies. I. That Assad did it. 2. That the bombing was done to protect God's chosen people, Israel. It is true the bombing was done primarily for Israeli interests. But it is not true according to Matt, Peter and Gus that Israel or the Jews are God's chosen people and nation. They maintain there is only one people of God and they are referred to as the Church, the Israel of God or as St. Peter says: an Holy Nation.
