Sege Park Mobility House in Malmö is Sweden’s largest wooden parking garage, built from sustainably sourced pine and other materials chosen to reduce the climate impact.
And apart from parking spaces for cars, the building houses:
a bicycle garage
a bicycle workshop, where people can repair their bikes
a mobility pool, where residents can rent cars and bikes from a shared pool.
The building also includes other climate-smart elements: 1,400 m² of solar panels, 1,500 m² of vertical gardens and a 243 kWh battery system to balance energy flows. Plus a 100 m³ stormwater tank used for watering the vertical gardens. A model of circular construction!
