OK, I'll admit it. When I first saw the Mountain Suze pop up on social media, I thought it was a joke. The drink was created by Sother Teague, a bartender at Amor y Amargo here in New York City. But Sother's reaction to drinking it for the first time on his Instagram page definitely piqued y curiosity. So I finally gave it a try and the results were... surprising.

Mountain Suze
- 2 oz Suze
- Top with Mountain Dew

My riff on the Mountain Suze
- 2 oz Suze
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters (via @FiveDrinksOrMidnight)
- Squeeze of fresh lime juice
- Top with Mountain Dew
