For the second installment of my new series, The Hack Checker, I'm putting to the test a relatively new cocktail hack that I found in the pages of Punch Drink.
Some bartenders have apparently begun stirring their Negronis and other cocktails with sushi rice in order to help the flavors blend together and enhance the mouthfeel.
The effect on mouthfeel was somewhat negligible in my experiment, but stirring with the rice did drastically alter the flavor of the drink and the way the ingredients integrated with each other.
