Summer is here and the temperature is climbing. This time of year there's nothing better than a highball. The easy drinking combination of a spirit and a bubbly mixer is perfect for pool parties, picnics and all other properly socially distanced activities. In fact, I am hereby declaring this to be #HighballSummer.
In the second installment of this series, we're making Dale DeGroff's Añejo Highball. "King Cocktail" created this riff on the classic Dark 'n Stormy way back in the late 90's or early 00's, depending on who you ask. We'll be celebrating the highball all summer long, so I hope you'll check back for more fun summer recipes!
AÑEJO HIGHBALL
- 1 1/2oz aged rum
- 1/2oz orange liqueur
- 1/4oz lime juice
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Top with ginger beer
