Well, good, wonderful, beautiful morning! Today on Snow Dogs Vlogs, the girls are dealing with some serious melting snow and icy patches in the yard. While Memphis and Kira are busy with their morning zooies, we are getting ready for a very special mission. We headed over to the Second Chance shelter to donate and build a brand-new kennel! It was a bit more of a project than we anticipated, but helping out the local rescue is always worth the extra work.
While we were at the shelter, I may have gotten a little distracted by some incredibly adorable residents. I spent some time warming up my cold hands by snuggling with a "puddle" of fluffy kittens! From sweet black cats to vocal little fluffballs with loud purrs, it was the perfect break from building. Seeing these sweet animals reminds us why we love supporting shelters and finding ways to give back to the community.
We finished the day back at home with Memphis, Kira, and Eleanor. Since we missed the Olympic hockey game, we made up for it with a massive "toy explosion" in the living room. Eleanor found her favorite owl toy to de-fluff, and Kira even treated us to a little husky song before bed. It’s been a long, productive, and heart-filling day. Remember: Life is short, make memories with your dogs!
HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR DAY
❄️ Watching the Siberian Huskies navigate the melting ice during morning zooies.
🏗️ Heading to the shelter to build and donate a brand-new outdoor kennel.
🐱 Getting absolutely surrounded by a "puddle" of kittens while warming up inside.
🏒 Leaving the Olympic hockey game on for the girls to watch while we were out.
🧤 Trying to keep my fingers warm while petting the softest, fluffiest shelter cats.
🏠 Coming home to three very excited Huskies who were ready for their late lunch.
🧸 The ultimate toy explosion featuring Eleanor and her favorite snow owl.
🎶 Ending the night with a beautiful "A-Woo" song from Kira and Eleanor.
