It is a wild weather day here in Michigan! With temperatures hitting 58°, everything is finally melting, but that means our backyard is a slippery, icy mess. We’ve been busy busting up ice and working on our DIY river to help the drainage, though it’s a constant battle against the slush. Memphis and Eleanor both ended up with wet paws, so we spent some time getting everyone cleaned up and ready for a much-needed spa day.
Since the weather kept us inside for a bit, we broke out one of the girls' favorite toys—the Nerf ball launcher! It was actually Shelby’s favorite toy, and I managed to find an identical one on eBay so Eleanor could have her own. Watching her "tipper tapper" and do her little "stompy" dance for the green foam balls is the highlight of my day! Memphis even tried to get in on the action, though Eleanor was a bit protective of her new treasure.
We also caught a glimpse of some crazy wind and rain moving through, which had us a bit worried after the recent Michigan tornadoes. To stay cozy, we whipped up some delicious Air Fryer Reuben Egg Rolls (check out the Snow Dogs Cooking channel for that!). Between the cooking, the ice-sanding marathons, and Eleanor’s adorable nighttime spins, it’s been a full day of making memories. We are getting ready for our big trip to Virginia, so stay tuned for the upcoming adventure!
