🚙 Drive America’s Highways for approximately 12 miles east along Interstate 264 from Interstate 64 to Interstate 65 in Louisville, Kentucky — crossing the city’s west and south sides along two of Louisville’s best-known expressways.
Travel east along Interstate 264 from its western terminus at Interstate 64 on Louisville’s west side to Interstate 65 on the south side of the city. This portion of I-264 forms part of Louisville’s inner beltway and serves as an important cross-town connection between I-64, western Louisville, Dixie Highway, Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, the Kentucky Exposition Center, and I-65. The route begins along the Georgia Davis Powers Expressway, formerly known as the Shawnee Expressway, before transitioning onto the Henry Watterson Expressway near Dixie Highway.
The video starts at Interstate 64, where eastbound I-264 begins its broad arc around Louisville. The first several miles pass through the city’s western neighborhoods, with a mix of residential areas, local commercial development, and closely spaced interchanges typical of an urban freeway. Although officially known today as the Georgia Davis Powers Expressway, this section remains familiar to many longtime Louisville residents as the Shawnee Expressway, its former name.
Continuing east, Interstate 264 reaches the major interchange with U.S. Routes 31W and 60 at Dixie Highway. Around this area, the freeway transitions onto the Henry Watterson Expressway and continues across southern Louisville. The character of the route becomes increasingly commercial and transportation-oriented, with access to major surface streets, employment areas, and some of the city’s most important transportation facilities.
Farther east, I-264 passes near Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport and the Kentucky Exposition Center. This section of the Watterson Expressway is one of the busiest parts of Louisville’s freeway network, carrying both local cross-town traffic and travelers connecting between the city’s major Interstate routes. Aircraft, airport facilities, hotels, commercial properties, and extensive interchange infrastructure help give this portion of the drive a distinctly urban character.
The drive concludes at Interstate 65, Louisville’s primary north-south Interstate corridor. From here, I-65 continues north toward downtown Louisville and southern Indiana or south toward Elizabethtown and Nashville. Interstate 264 continues east beyond this interchange along the Watterson Expressway, eventually reconnecting with I-64 and terminating at I-71, but this video ends at I-65 after crossing much of Louisville’s western and southern urban core.

🚙 Drive Americas Highways for 7 miles along Interstate 30, through the 30Crossing project, in Little Rock and North Little Rock, Arkansas.
in 2019, the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) undertook its largest project ever the complete reconstruction of the bridges, ramps, and overpasses along Interstate 30 through downtown Little Rock and North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Prior to the upgrade, traffic was often backed up for miles during even moderately heavy loads due to the way the ramps were designed. In addition, entering I-30 from I-630 often resulted in miles-long pileups due to a bottleneck at the merge.
With the 30Crossing project more or less complete, these problems have been resolved. Now, travelling both directions across the Arkansas River, are collector lanes designed allow through traffic to stay on the mainline highway while those entering or exiting downtown Little Rock have a little more time to figure things out
This video shows the 30Crossing project from both directions, along with the collector lanes. Starting with I-30 east at the I-440/I-530 junction south of downtown, we travel north through Little Rock, cross the Arkansas River into North Little Rock, and end the segment heading eastbound on I-40.
The second segment is in reverse. Beginning just before I-30 starts, we turn south onto I-30 westbound to travel through North Little Rock. Crossing the Arkansas River into Little Rock, we pass the interchange with I-630 before ending the segment at the I-440/I-530 interchange.
The 3rd segment is of the westbound collector lane. Starting just before the US-70 exit, we travel south on the collector lane to its end, where we take the ramp for AR-10. Before the 30Crossing project, the exit to AR-10 was a sharp curve to the right, then down a ramp to Cumberland Street, where AR-10 began. Now, the ramp, 1 of 4, loops around to 3rd street where travelers must turn left towards Cumberland St. to reach AR-10.
The final segment is of the eastbound collector lane. Starting at eastern terminus of I-630, we follow the ramp to I-30 where we continue onto the collector lane before ending the segment at US-70 in North Little Rock.

🚙 Drive Americas Highways for 7 miles west along Interstate 44 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Interstate 44 slices across the heart of Oklahoma City as one of its major arterial freeways, linking key districts and interchanges while serving both local and through traffic. This particular westbound stretch begins at the junction with Interstate 35, a critical north-south corridor that brings together regional traffic from Texas and Kansas. Almost immediately, I-44 becomes a fast-moving, multi-lane freeway that skirts the north side of the city, offering drivers a direct route toward the northwest suburbs and beyond.
As the video moves westward, the route passes near the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds and provides access to several major cross streets and surrounding neighborhoods. Motorists will pass NE 36th Street, MLK Avenue, and other key connectors as the highway weaves through a mix of industrial corridors and older residential districts. While not traditionally scenic, this portion of I-44 is functionally significant—handling commuter traffic, freight movement, and serving as a bypass of downtown Oklahoma City for those continuing toward Lawton or Amarillo.
The drive concludes near the interchange with Oklahoma State Highway 66 (OK-66), a modern connection to one of America’s most storied highways—Historic Route 66. This transition hints at the deeper road heritage embedded in the region, where modern interstates often trace the footsteps of classic alignments. While this particular segment is only about 7 miles long, it plays a vital role in Oklahoma Citys transportation grid and offers a brief but efficient window into the citys freeway infrastructure.

Watch as we Drive Americas Highways for 37 miles east along U.S. Highway 64 from Conway to Beebe, Arkansas.
The video begins as we turn onto U.S. Route 64 from Arkansas Highway 25 in northwest Conway. Initially driving east on the Old Morrilton Highway, we Just past the intersection with Old AR-25, we turn southeast onto Donaghey Avenue, where US-64 continues.
Now on Donaghey Ave, we continue southeast for about two blocks before reaching the intersection with Harkrider Street (US-65 Business), where we turn south on the now conjoined route to pass through Hendrix College and enter downtown Conway.
In downtown Conway, Route 64 turns east once again on Oak Street. Passing the Interstate 40 interchange, the route continues east through suburban shopping sprawl before leaving town a short time later. During this segment, our camera decided to have an issue and abruptly stopped recording for about 1/8th of a mile.
Continuing east, we reach the intersection with AR-36 to the west of Vilonia. Staying on US-64, the route dips south to bypass Vilonia and Beryl as a 4-lane divided expressway. Crossing the intersection with AR-107, we continue along highway 64, rejoining the original highway to the east of Vilonia.
Leaving Faulkner county, we enter White County just west of El Paso, where we intersect Arkansas Highway 5 at a signaled intersection. Staying east on US-64, we leave El Paso, and with the exception of 2 S curves along the way maintain an almost due-easterly direction for the remainder of the video.
After the second S curve, we enter the town of Beebe where we continue into town to the interchange with Interstate 57 where we end the video of US-64 from Conway to Beebe as the highway turns north with I-57 and we continue onto AR-365

Travel the full length of Oklahoma Highway 351 along the Muskogee Turnpike, a tolled expressway connecting the eastern Tulsa metro to Interstate 40 near Webbers Falls. Beginning at OK-51 in Broken Arrow, this controlled-access route offers a fast, direct alternative for drivers heading southeast across the state. Operated by the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, the Muskogee Turnpike serves as a key corridor for both commuter and long-distance traffic.
Heading south, the turnpike bypasses the towns of Coweta and Porter before skirting the western edge of Muskogee. Multiple interchanges provide access into Muskogee itself, one of the larger population centers in the region. The landscape along the route alternates between wooded stretches, gentle hills, and open fields — a quintessential snapshot of east-central Oklahoma.
The route continues uninterrupted until it reaches its southern terminus at Interstate 40, just west of Webbers Falls. This junction offers vital east-west access for travelers heading toward Fort Smith, Little Rock, or Oklahoma City. With generally lighter traffic than other turnpikes in the state, Oklahoma 351 provides a smooth and efficient drive across a scenic and often overlooked part of the state.
