Lets get started with AMD. In case you haven’t noticed, the company kind of skipped a relatively good product segment in their latest CPU generation. From ryzen 1000 to ryzen 3000, the company always released a quad core model with the latest Zen architecture. This generation though, all we got were 4 models, ranging from 6 to 16 cores.
Now, yes, they did release an APU with 4 cores, the 5300G, but that has graphics. What if you dont need graphics ? Well, it seems you’re out of luck. According to a post on chiphell made by a user who has posted exclusive photos of AMD products, well, he says that AMD is planning to launch a couple of APU’s without graphics.
Now he says and I quote, New AMD Zen 2 product Renoir X Non core display, AM4, Roughly the same specifications as Ryzen 4000G, There may not be R7 , used to correspond to intel i3.
So essentially, that means an R5, and R3. which correspond to quand and 6 core cpu’s. Non core display means none, or at least disabled GPU cores, which means we’ll finally get a quad core product.
This is a bit weird, since AMD already has a Zen 3 quad-core, notably the 3300X and 3100, but thanks to it being from an APU, you wont get any of the latency issues from these cpu’s, and the infinity fabric and memory will be able to clock much higher. Hopefully , those come in with slightly higher clock speed too because intel isn’t waiting around.
The blue team’s Quad cores have just been tested, or at least an engineering sample, and it is pretty impressive. We’re talking about the Core i3 12100 here and according to Xfastest, who managed to snag a sample, its faster than both the 3100, and the 3300X from AMD.
In cinebench R23, the 12100 has a multi-core score of 8474, that’s 26% faster than the 3300X. In single-core, it's nearly 30% faster with a score of 1649. That’s nothing to scoff at . In PC mark as you can see, it once again reigns supreme in the Quad-core segment.
X fastest also tested the CPU’s in gaming, using 3d mark fire strike and time spy, CS go and cyberpunk. It once again beats the competition, but here it ranges from an odd stalemate in cyberpunk, there's gotta be something wrong here, to an 18% performance lead in the same game when RT and DLSS are enabled.
If this CPU is at 99$ or under, and intel finally releases their non OC motherboards for cheap, this cpu looks like a pretty good catch. What do you guys think ? Let me know down below!

Today in the news, we look through the pretty high temperatures reached by not only the new RX 7000 series, but the history of RDNA’s temperature issues over the last 3 generations.

![AMD Ryzen 7000 RELEASE DATE Leaked! It’s EARLY!
Let’s get started with AMD. It looks like Christmas is coming early! The company just had its earnings call for the second quarter of this year, and they had some pretty interesting information about the release date. As you know, the Zen 4 based generation on the AM5 platform was announced during Computex. Or at least the release windows were announced, and it was slated for the fall of 2022.
I know I’ve been saying that a lot lately, but fall is between the 22nd of September, to the 21st of December. Recently, what we’ve been hearing is a release date of September 15th. So I was pretty skeptical about that date because its before fall. Now though, during that earnings call, Lisa said, Let me play the clip. * Looking ahead, we are on track to launch our all-new 5-nanometer Ryzen 7000 desktop processors and AM5 platforms later this quarter, with leading performance in gaming and content creation.” So yeah, it looks like the 15th is the actual release date! Another thing that caught my attention is this : *Our next-generation RDNA three architecture is another major step forward for our graphics roadmap, delivering more than a 50% generational improvement in performance per watt by combining our most advanced gaming architecture with 5-nanometer triplet manufacturing.*
Now it might just be an oversight, or maybe I’m wrong about this, but by Dr Su saying that they’re combining their best tech with 5nm chiplet manufacturing, doesnt that point towards a multi-chiplet GPU?

![Samsungs 990 Pro NVME is DESTROYING Itself?
Lets get started with Samsung. You know, over the years, Samsung really built a great reputation when it comes to solid-state storage. Their EVO and PRO lineup were definitely the top tier. I remember I was super excited when I got my first NVME drive. it was the 970 Evo, a super popular model. And its 5 years later and still going strong. Other brands now are also solid contenders, but there isn’t really one with Samsung’s pedigree.
Now though… Things might change. The company recently released its 990 pro nvme drive. Its still PCIe Gen 4, and its blazing fast almost maxing out the Gen 4 standard. It does up to 7450 MB per second in reads and up to 6,900 MB per second in writes. Plus, thanks to a better controller and newer firmware optimized for direct storage, this drive should be a beast in all categories. Tweaktown even gave it a 99% rating.
Anyways, its a great drive! So why did I say that things might change? Well.. reports are coming left and right of this drive basically killing itself. One of the first reports was from Midian on the overclock dot net forums. About a month after he bought his drive, he noticed that the health of the drive had already dropped down to 93%... OUCH. Could it be that he abused his drive ? Well not really. Crystal disk info shows that he only wrote about 7 TB worth of data. And if you do the math, given that 990 Pro’s are rated for 1200 Terabytes written,
That means he should be at 84 terabyte written to get to that 7% of usage. So maybe he got a bad drive? Well, if we jump over to reddit, Robbie kanh posted that his 990 pro also dropped significantly in health. Thanks to those 2 posts, this information was spread a little more by outlets like PC gamer and Tweaktown.
