Not every computer will have the same fonts installed. For logos with words or typographic characters in them, that means your logo could look like trash on somebody else's system, like mine does. The solution: convert the text to the object path of your SVG.
This is the 4th video in the Enough Inkscape to Be Dangerous series. In this video Mike fixes his SVGs with text by converting them to the object path so that they are interoperable and display consistently across different systems and platforms.
