So I'm not doing Nanowrimo this year. And it sucks, because I really wanted to. In fact, Nanowrimo was going to save my 2020!
You see, I had a goal of drafting two new books this year and revising Powerless. Well, I've been through Powerless but haven't been able to get through the beta-reader feedback. I've tried to write a new book, but put it aside at 32,000 words. So this felt like my last chance to hit one of my writing goals this year.
But Nanowrimo keeps getting closer and I am falling farther behind in my prep work. In fact, I haven't done anything in over a month since doing the first chapter of The Anatomy of Story, and I honestly don't think there's a way I can catch up with everything else I've committed to at the moment. It sucks.
It isn't the end of my writing career, though. (At least, I hope it isn't!) Things have just been delayed a little.
Are you doing Nano this year? What are you going to work on? What are you most excited about and most scared of?
