It's almost July, which means it's time to announce my Camp Nanowrimo project and game plan!

I'm going to be revising my Nanowrimo 2019 project - Powerless - and revising it, with a goal of revising 50,000 words of a 68,000-word first draft in a month. Honestly, I'd love to get through the entire draft, but I'm also starting a new job on July 1st so I want to be realistic about my Camp Nano goals.

How am I preparing? Over the next 1-2 weeks, I want to get the foundations of this book as solid as possible, looking at character motivations and relationships, antagonist-protagonist dynamics, putting my plot through Story Engineering and the Storyclock workbook, and even looking at how I approach scenes. If I get all of this one before July (and that is a big IF), I think I'll have set myself up to do a revision that massively improves the book, rather than making minor tweaks.
