Happy week 4 of Camp Nanowrimo! There are three days left in the month, and I have 9,000 words to go to hit 50k in revisions (though I'm starting to feel like I'm cheating by skipping over the difficult scenes).

It's been a challenging process for me, mainly because I started a new job at the beginning of July, so I haven't been the most focused writer I can be. I'm starting to consider whether I should just put my writing on hold while I find my feet in the role, but the problem is that will mean I haven't really accomplished anything in terms of writing since last year's Nanowrimo, and how can I call myself a writer if I haven't written anything new in 6+ months? Yes, writing's a long game, but the long game is built with small steps, and I don't know how I can consistently take those steps right now.

How's your Camp Nanowrimo going?
