Is it possible to align your writing with your menstrual cycle? I'm going to find out!
So this year didn't get off to the best start for me - I felt very burnt out after finishing my Nanowrimo writing project, I was struggling with someone at work, and my energy was very low. Ultimately, it led me to a two-month writing slump where I couldn't write or plot effectively, no matter how much I pushed myself.
Then I came across an interview on biohacking with Alisa Vitti, and she mentioned that society runs on the 24-hour male hormonal cycle. The problem? Women don't. We have a 28-day hormonal cycle - our menstrual cycle - and our energy, needs and creative and mental strengths vary depending on the time of the month.
So I decided to put it to the test - could I follow the advice she shares in her book In the FLO to biohack my period and, consequently, biohack my writing?
